Compliance Audits
We offer an operator’s licence compliance audit based on the same criteria that the DVSA use to evaluate an operator. On the visit to an operating centre, we scrutinise every aspect of the transport operation to determine whether the operator complies with all of the DVSA’s expectations.
After our visit, we prepare a report detailing all of the management systems the operator has in place. The report advises whether the current systems are up to the required standard or whether they need improving. The report also outlines any systems that are currently missing, and our recommendation for how to implement them.
Operators Awarenesses Course (OLAT)
An operator’s licence is granted on the understanding that the operator will adhere to the undertakings outlined in the application they sent to the Office of the Traffic Commissioner. It is a criminal offence for an operator to fail to comply with these undertakings, and should this occur, the operator may be called to a Public Inquiry. Here, the Traffic Commissioner has the power to curtail, suspend or revoke an operator’s licence. It is thus imperative that the rules and regulations regarding the operation of large goods vehicles are followed at all times.
Our operator’s licence awareness course is aimed at operators who have been instructed by the Traffic Commissioner to attend an operator’s awareness, management or compliance course. It is also for any operators or transport managers who feel that they are unfamiliar with their legal duties and responsibilities.
